Shea's Supports the Community

Image20th Annual Mike Maloney/Pete Landry Open: On July 18, 2008 the Maloney brothers held their 20th annual golf tournament and gave a $10,000 check to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  The golf was at the Twin Hill Country club and the fun was at Shea's American Bar & Grill.  This tournament started off as a way for old friends to get together and have fun.  Some unfortunate events changed it into a fundraiser for the children of Mike Maloney and Pete Landry.  Now with the support of Shea's it has turned into a major fundraiser for various worthwhile causes.  The Maloney brothers would like to thank all of the participants who have supported this tournament throughout the years.  They would especially like to thank all those people and organizations who donated raffle gifts and sponsored tee boxes, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone next July!

Cystic Fibrosis Fundraising Event: On November 17, 2007, Shea's held a fundraiser to help a very special Cystic Fibrosis survivor who wanted to raise money for the foundation.  Jenn Caron had just gone through a double lung transplant, and she wanted to walk in Manchester's annual Turkey Day Race.  She also wanted to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as a way of helping others with this disease.  When Jack Maloney, a co-owner of Shea's, heard about this he wanted to help.  A fundraising dinner was organized with Geno Auriemma as the guest speaker.  Friends of Shea's and Jenn Caron responded and over $16,000 was raised.  A week later Jenn successfully accomplished another one of her goals by being the first double lung recipient to finish the Manchester Road Race.

Blue Angels Fill a Cruiser with Toys Event: On December 15, 2007, Shea's was happy to support the Manchester Police Department's Blue Angels Foundation by using the restaurant as a toy drop off site.  Four Cruisers were filled with toys that day, and many children in town had a happier Christmas because of this event.  Shea's was happy to support this worthwhile cause and is looking forward to helping again next year.

Shea's Grand Opening and MARC Benefit: On January 16, 2007, Shea's celebrated its grand opening by hosting a benefit for MARC Inc., a nonprofit agency that supports people with disabilities.  Shea's was very happy to not only host this event, but to also donate $2,000 to MARC.
